3M Privacy Filter for 14.1 Inch Widescreen Laptop (PF14.1W)

I am glad that I purchased this product and would purchase it again. I think it performs according to its promise. It looks good on a flat screen monitor, is easy to install and provides privacy. It's impossible for a product to provide 100% privacy, but I think this comes close. I am thankful that it even blurs the numbers and letters when someone is almost directly behind the user. Well done 3M.

I've purchased a number of traditional Privacy Filters from 3M and have accepted the dimness. The NEW Gold Privacy Filter is not only brighter, allowing more light through, but is a great new look from non-viewing angles. I'd definitely recommend this product over the original version or ones from other manufacturers.

3M Privacy Filter for 14.0 Inch Widescreen Laptop (PF14.0W)

These privacy screens are, IMHO, everything they're claimed to be. I've bought four so far (for different laptops, not as replacements) and been completely satisfied. They *do* block some of the light from the screen, however, so you may want to remove it if you're doing photo retouching or the like, and before ordering make sure that your screen has a flat bezel at least 3mm wide on the sides and bottom for the retaining strips to stick to.

as others have said, the price is steep. But, from the side in certain light settings, people think I'm looking at a blank screen. I treasure my privacy, and really hate when people snoop in on my email, and other personal information. For me, it's worth it.
